The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification is proof of this constant concern. Besides comfort and softness – that Allcost never leaves for second – there are other analysed parameters in each raw material used. This certificate verifies the quality of the yarns used, as well as the absence of substances that put human health in risk.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an international norm, published by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile Ecology (OEKO-TEX®). This is the main ecologic label in the world for tested textiles in harmful substances. This certification may be applied to raw materials, intermediate and final products, at all phases of processing. To use this certification, all the parameters mentioned in this norm must be ensured.
In this certification, the products are divided into four classes, according to skin contact and its recipient’s sensibility. From a list with more than hundreds of analysed points, the presence of forbidden substances is verified – such as carcinogenic dyes -, as well as the application of formaldehyde, conditioner and heavy metals. Furthermore, other substances are analysed that, even though they are not legally prohibited, may be harmful for health, such as pesticides and allergenic dyes.
The tests are performed by authorised independent entities.
