At Allcost, reducing the environmental impact is one of the main vectors of the company. Joining the Global Organic Textile Standard is the result of our focus on premium textiles environmentally friendly. Learn what this certification involves and what you can expect from GOTS Allcost products.
Allcost has reached another important milestone in its sustainability policy by achieving Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. This certification ensures that products labeled with it are made from organic materials.
What is the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world’s leading standard for organic fibers. This includes ecological and social criteria in order to provide reliable guarantees to the consumer.
It sets high-level environmental criteria throughout the organic textiles supply chain. Also requiring compliance with social criteria.
The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles. From harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling, the aim is to ensure credibility to the end consumer.
Textile processors and manufacturers are allowed to export their organic fabrics and clothing with certification accepted in all major markets.
The standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres. The final products may include, but are not limited to fibre products, yarns, fabrics, clothes and home textiles. The standard does not set criteria for leather products.
Quality and Requirement Guarantee
The acquisition of the GOTS Certification by Allcost reflects the transparency and reliability of its entire production chain. Ensures the organic state of the fibers and an environmentally and socially responsible production.
Allcost ensures once again to its clients a supply of quality and excellence.
