This certification guarantees that products labeled with TENCEL ™ 100% Lyocell are produced from biodegradable cellulosic fiber from responsibly managed forests, as certified by international non-profit organizations FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC ( the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™).
A fabric with botanical origin

After obtaining the wood from responsibly managed Eucalyptus trees, (1) it is processed into raw wood chips, which are (2) transformed into cellulose and, finally, into (3) TENCEL ™ Lyocell cellulosic fibers, produced in a closed circuit with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact.
In the solvent spinning process, the water used is recycled and there is a recovery rate of more than 99% of the solvent used, a fact for which it received the European Environment Award from the European Commission in 2002, in the “The Technology Award for Sustainable Development ”(Source: Lenzing).
