5 tips to get your bedroom autumn inspired

Now that the nights arrive earlier and the temperatures dropping like leaves from the trees, adding some warm and comfortable elements to your bedroom is a must. Winter comes in a fast pace, but let’s start with autumn!

We give you five tips to equip your bedroom according to the present season.

1 – Change your colour palette

It is likely that in your bedroom’s colour palette prevails the cool blues and the sunny yellows related to summer. As autumn comes, warmer colours will also come to your sleeping place, which will warm the environment and give you a cozy sensation. Get inspired by the outside colours; add some natural tons of autumn, such as red, yellow, orange or even brown.

2 – Choose soft fabrics

There is no escape: it’s time to change your bed for warmer fabrics. A good duvet is essential, but it is also important to have extra fabrics next to you, like a blanket for those nights when the temperature drops drastically. Choose comfortable and luxurious textures and fabrics, such as Egyptian cotton duvet covers so you can feel like in a true magic cap.

3 – Dress up the floor and the windows

Light curtains are excellent for summer, but autumn requires heavier curtains with a shield capable of isolating the space. If the floors at home are empty, the ideal will be to add a soft carpet to bring some warmth to the living room, bedrooms and most important, to your feet. Another important point is that if there are cracks or holes in the windows, or if these are not closing correctly, it is the right moment to face those jobs. Equally important is to verify if the radiator, salamander or the fireplace are working correctly to reach the maximum heat efficiency.

4 – Accessories that dress the space

If Egyptian cotton bedding brings warmth to your bedroom, know that velvet, feather or fur pillows are also capable of giving a good dose of comfort. The candles scattered around the house create a sense of well being, while a vase with twigs or coloured leaves gives an incredible seasonal touch to the house. The little touches make all the difference!

5 – Bet on Lighting

As the darker nights begin to wave it’s a good plan to focus on the lighting of your room to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. Choose low-power, warm toned lighting for your bedside tables or, if you want a complete change, add light focus with switches that allow you to control light levels. A series of lights arranged by the edge of the bed or by the wall mirror also gives a soft vibration to the room.
